It's Almost That Time!...for maternity clothes :(

Clothes are definitely getting tighter around the waist line...:( :( :(  AND the bust line...:) :) :)  ha ha!  So, I have decided to go on a Spring shopping spree for maternity clothes, and I actually enjoyed it...never thought I would say that.  I'm thinking I enjoyed it a little more because the idea of "Spring" clothing and the warmer weather approaching.  Plus, we have the Babymoon to look forward to in a couple of months!  I found some really CUTE maternity clothes at Kohl's AND I can finally wear jeans again (maternity ones)!  I also ordered some SALE items from Old Navy maternity and i'm anxiously awaiting for them.

As for another update...my next appointment / ultrasound has been postponed from February 28 to March 10.  However, since i'll officially be 18 weeks, this means we should be able to find out the sex (assuming Baby CC is in a good position).  As for the "Gender Party", we are sad to say that we are probably not going to have one.  With my parents being in Florida for the month of March and Derek's family living all over, we figured it wouldn't be the same without ALL of them there.  We'll have to figure out another FUN way to announce it....maybe on this BLOG!!  :) :)

Babymoon Booked!!! :)

So, it's OFFICIAL, we booked our last vacation as "just us" before the arrival of Baby CC.  I'm excited to say that we are going to the BEAUTIFUL Hilton Resort & Spa in Marco Island, FL for 5 nights!!  I'm already looking forward to those virgin strawberry daquiri's and pina colada's. :) :) YUM!

We have never been to Marco Island before so please feel free to email us or comment with any recommendations for things to do, restaurants, sightseeing, etc.

At the time of our trip, I will be 27 weeks along...just entering the third trimester.  I hope I can find some pretty flowing dresses to bring with me AND a cute tankini to show off my baby bump. :)

Hearing The Baby's Heartbeat...Sooooo Amazing!

I had another doctor's appointment today and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time...it was AMAZING...the BEST sound ever!!  The doctor said the heartbeat was very strong and since we are past the 13 week mark, it's more unlikely for anything bad to happen.  I felt GREAT leaving our appointment and Derek and I decided to celebrate!  We went to the Capital Grille for some delicious food and drinks (non-alcoholic for me of course!!). :) :)

 I thought I would have another ultrasound picture to post, but unfortunately they don't do ultrasounds every appointment...oops, I had no idea?!?!  The doppler machine was pretty cool and all I really wanted was to see OR hear the heart beating...then I know that ALL IS GOOD. :)

My next appointment is February 28 and they promise I will be getting an ultrasound..YAY!
