Baby CC's BIG "Pet" Brother!

Our precious Dough Boy just celebrated his 1st Birthday on March 25, 2011.  He is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby CC.  I've included some pictures of Dough Boy with his "Big Brother" shirt.  How cute it he?!?!

We are hoping everything goes smoothly when we bring "Little D" home.  Dough Boy is definitely going to need some more training.  He'll have to be very "gentle" with the baby, learn some patience (hopefully Daddy can teach him this since Mommy isn't very good at this skill...LOL), be polite when guests come to visit and not jump all over them, and he'll need to learn that the baby's toys are NOT his toys...(this is going to be tough!).  It's going to be quite the adjustment for DB...and he might not get as much attention as he gets now, but we still LOVE him very much. :)

Our current project is getting a fence put in the backyard.  Then DB can have some enjoyable "playtime" outside, while Mommy cares for Baby CC, and Daddy tries to get some work done in his home office.

Any helpful tips are greatly appreciated!

My 1st Birthday Party! Mmmm...Birthday Cake!

I'm so HANDSOME!

20 Weeks = Half Way There! :)

Two days ago, I officially reached 20 weeks!!!  I'm super happy, feeling great, and hoping the next 20 weeks fly by!

My baby bump is definitely starting to show, and i'm forced to buy MORE new clothes....:)  Not a bad thing since I LOVE to shop, BUT I really need to start saving for all the upcoming baby expenses.
Cravings are still the same - desserts and anything sweet!  I think this li'l boy has a "sweet tooth" just like his Mama. :)

My new favorite tv show is "One Born Every Minute".  It's a Lifetime series and I would highly recommend it to everyone (AND especially for soon to be parents).  I've even tried to get Derek to watch it with me.  Trying to prepare him for "the BIG day".  This show has made me cry many tears of joy, given me the goosebumps, and even had a few laughs.  Don't get me wrong, it is scary to watch at times, but everytime the mom gives birth, I cry like a baby...just think it's the MOST amazing thing, and I haven't even gone through it yet.  If you'd like to check it out, it's on Tuesday nights at 10PM (on Lifetime).

My next doctor's appointment is on Monday, April 4.  More updates to come. :)

I'm very anxious to see if Baby CC will look like his handsome Dada.
Either way, I know that Big "D" is very excited for a Little "D".

IT'S A.....????

DEREK AND I ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE ARE HAVING A... BABY BOY!!!  We were completely SURPRISED (as we both thought it was a Girl), BUT it's really the BEST news!  The Camps-Campins name will be carried on, AND this is my parents 1st Grandson!!!  We couldn't be any HAPPIER!  I really wish you could have seen Derek's face / reaction.  Arms up in the air screaming "YEAH, YEAH!!".....it was PRICELESS!!!

Our BIG night!!  We both decided we wanted this to be a special moment so we asked our doctor to write down the baby's sex and put it in an envelope.  Then Derek planned a nice romantic dinner at Paolo's in Charlestown (the same place we had our first date, got engaged, AND where we found out we were having a little BOY).  It was the perfect night, most perfect place, and the GREATEST news!

We had our 18 week ultrasound yesterday, and it was amazing to see how much Baby CC has grown.  I know it sounds crazy, but seeing the ultrasound picture,  I think he looks just like his Daddy!  It was so nice to finally see his arms, legs, fingers and toes.  Every ultrasound, I am overwhelmed with JOY, EXCITEMENT, and LOVE for this little boy.  It's still so hard to believe that it's all really happening and we're going to be parents VERY soon!

Here is a picture of my 18 week ultrasound. :)

Now the FUN part...discussing NAMES, and decorating the nursery! :)
