More Easter!!!

This was our 3rd annual Easter dinner at our home and it was a wonderful time.  Although, we did miss some family members - Nana Burt (who wasn't feeling well), and the Alexander's (who were getting ready for a nice family vacation to Disney!) - you were truly missed.

As usual, we had way too much food, lots of laughs and a jolly good ole time!  Thanks to everyone for joining us, for the delcious food you brought, and DJ's Easter gifts. :) 

Next year we are going to switch things up a bit and have our first Easter "Brunch"....Mmmmmm!  Can't hardly wait!  And DJ will be old enough to join in the Easter egg hunt. :)

This is my 1st Easter...AND my first time meeting the Easter Bunny!  It was a success. :)

DJ's 1st trip to FL to visit Mimi & Grampy!

We left on St. Patrick's Day for a little mini vacation with DJ and to visit Mimi & Grampy.  It was a GREAT time and the weather was beautiful.  DJ enjoyed his first time swimming in the pool, his first trip to the "Mucky Duck", a nice visit with Sue & Don, and lots of love from Mimi & Grampy!  Momma and Dadda got some nice quality time together while DJ stayed with his grandparents. :)  A great vacation for all.  Thanks Mimi & Grampy!  We love you and appreciate all that you do. :) xo

Bouncy Bouncy DJ!

This little man loves to bounce!  Thanks Nanny Beth, Papa Dennis, Auntie Laura, Auntie Melissa, Erik & Trev for my bouncy chair. :)  Hope you enjoy this video!  Love to All!

DJ says "Dada"!!! :)

Well, it's official....my li'l man said his first word..."Dada"!!!  And he repeats it about 100 times a day...LOL!  Of course, I wish he said Mama first, I still can't help but smile everytime he says it...he is just TOO CUTE for words. :)  He is growing up so fast and has his own little personality now!  He is sitting up on his own and loves being in his bouncy chair, exersaucer, or throwing stuff off of his highchair.  I'm sure Dough Boy will love the scraps once he is eating real food!   

DJ - 6 Months!!!

DJ celebrated his half birthday on February 9!!  He's growing up way too fast...I can't take it!  Here are his latest stats.

Height - 28.5 inches long
Weight - 18.5 pounds
BIG BOY!!

He is a supported sitter, grasping lots of toys, putting everything in his mouth, rolling over (sort of/almost), eating solids (fruit, veggies, oatmeal, yogurt, puffs...and soon cheerios!).  He loves his exersaucer, bouncy seats, bumbo & his high chair.  He's also been sleeping great (thanks to a "magic sleep suit" from Uncle Michael & Auntie La La.  He sleeps about 8-10 hours straight...and after a bottle might go down for an extra hour or so. :)  Mommy and Daddy are very appreciative when DJ cooperates with his sleeping. :) LOL

DJ - Ultrasound Update!

As most of you know, DJ had an ultrasound on his head last Wednesday afternoon.  His head was measuring on the larger side.  They weren’t too concerned, but thought it would be best to have an ultrasound.  They were basically looking to see if he had any fluid inside the structure of his brain.  I have to say that he did a great job sitting still during the test…mommy was proud of him! :)

AND GOOD NEWS! – I spoke with his doctor on Friday afternoon and she said he does NOT have fluid in the internal structure of the brain which is good.  She said he did have a little fluid on the outside area of the brain, but that is normal and goes away on its own.  

So DJ is doing GREAT (minus some painful teething)!

DJ - 5 Months Old

I can't believe our little DJ is already 5 months old.  Time is flying by and he's growing up so fast!  DJ had a doctors appointment yesterday for a "head" check.  His head is measuring on the "bigger" side.  They aren't too concerned, but they want to have an ultrasound taken just to be sure that everything is normal.  I scheduled that appointment for next Wednesday, January 18.  I will update everyone with any more news. 

DJ is now eating rice cereal, fruits & veggies, he's ALMOST rolling over, and loving his new exersaucer...thanks Auntie Jen, Uncle Rich, Michael & Mia!!

27 & 1/4 inches
