We had a WONDERFUL vacation to Marco Island, FL. Our Babymoon was a huge success! We got some much needed rest, relaxation and quality time together before the upcoming arrival of Baby CC. The weather was GORGEOUS every day (high 80's/low 90's)!! We did lots of sightseeing, sunning, swimming, shopping, and plenty of eating!
Our first night there, we went to dinner at the Snook Inn. It was a beautiful restaurant right on the waterfront. Our second day there, we relaxed by the pool, walked through some of the other hotels in Marco Island, and went to the Sunset Grill for dinner. Beautiful place to watch the Sunset...hence the name. :) Our third day there, we had another nice day at the pool followed by our professional photo shoot. Got some great pictures together and I got to show off my "baby bump". Then we had our second BEST dinner on the Island at Sasso's. Great food, live entertainment AND creme brulee for dessert! :) On Thursday, we decided to take a ride to Naples and do some shopping. Naples is a beautiful place with some AMAZING houses (or should I say mansions!). Thursday evening we went to Nachos Mama's for a Mexican fiesta. This was the only night that it rained, but it was a quick shower/storm. Friday, was our last day on the Island. :( We enjoyed our last morning at the pool, visited some more shopping outlets and bought some nice things. We even got a teddy bear for "Little D". Friday evening, we had an AMAZING dinner at Sale e Pepe...BEST restaurant on the Island, followed by some drinks at CJ's on the Esplanade. All in all, it was a WONDERFUL vacation and now we are even more anxious and excited to meet our little boy!
Tomorrow, I will officially be 28 weeks (7 months)!

I'm 26 weeks today and Baby CC is kicking away! Mimi was very excited to join me for my doctor's appointment yesterday. She was in for a real TREAT...got to feel the baby kicking, got to see his adorable face during the ultrasound, got to hear his heart beating, and we got reassurance from the doctor that everything is going SO FAR SO GOOD! I got the official "OK" to travel up to 36 weeks...VERY EXCITED about this since we are leaving for Marco Island on Monday! :) :) The ultrasound showed that my placenta has moved up and no longer considered pre-privia. Got my glucose and iron test, and so far, haven't heard back on this so i'm assuming no news is good news. :) Fingers crossed.
Since Derek just got back from Vegas, this means its Mrs. CC's time to party it up in FL....keep the virgin pina colada's and strawberry daiquiri's coming my way. I might take a trip to the spa for some pampering too. It's only fair. ha ha!
We also got some GREAT news about becoming and Auntie and Uncle AGAIN. :) My brother Michael and his wife Laurie are expecting their second child in the beginning of November. Congrats Michael, Laurie & "Big Sister" Sophie. :) We are so happy for you.
